School safety planning tends to stop at the final bell. This session extends it to the games, dances, concerts, club meetings, and community events that fill the after-school calendar — when buildings are open, staffing is thin, crowds are large, and administrators may be off-site. Participants will learn to identify the risks, threats, and vulnerabilities unique to after-school events; build a collaborative planning team; conduct site, culture, behavioral threat, and capabilities assessments; apply practical access, crowd, and security controls; and establish incident command, communications, and recovery procedures. Attendees leave with clear next steps for closing the gaps in their Emergency Operations Plan.
